All that is needed is to adjust the temperature using the arrows, 68-72 in the winter. In spring/summer you will need to change the “mode” to “cool” (it is always cooler downstairs) WHEN YOU LEAVE JUST TURN BACK TO VACATION MODE

HOT WATER
Water heater is in the basement storage room and needs to be turned up if you plan to use. (NO NEED TO TURN UP VERY HIGH), PLEASE TURN DOWN WHEN YOU LEAVE (BE SURE NOT TO TURN OFF COMPLETELY. IT IS GAS AND THE PILOT WILL TURN OFF.
WE HAVE HAD MAJOR WATER ISSUES AND REQUEST THAT YOU HELP US CONSERVE WATER. THE SPA TUB REQUIRES A LOT OF WATER AND WE ASK THAT YOU NOT USE IT. USE THE WASHING MACHINE SPARINGLY.

LINENS
There are two queens, six singles and three sets of bunk beds (also a queen pull out sofa). We would prefer that you bring your own sheets and towels, however there are some there. There are sleeping bags for kids, too. If you use the house linens leave the soiled ones on top of the washing machine when you leave and we will wash them when we come.

COOKING
There is a good Lowe’s Food store in Wilkesboro, next to Wallmart (it is not a super) and these are the closest grocery stores. There is a Food Lion on 421 toward Boone past 221. There is a small farmer’s market on the left corner of 421 and 221.
There are plenty of cooking utensils: glasses, mugs, coffee maker, pancake griddle, electric skillet, large crock- pot, etc. Anything you find there, you may use or eat!!!
Grill is on the back porch (please replace gas as needed-Lowe’s Hardware)
Drinking water is in the spigot on the right side of the sink.
Restaurants in Wilkesboro: Applebees, KFC, Amalfi’s (pretty good pizza), Tiptons BBQ, etc.
You might need to bring some ice until the ice is replenished.

Water turn on/off

In order to turn the water to the house on/off you must open the lockbox on the side of the well house to get the well house key, open the well house door and turn the yellow handle to the “on” direction (the on direction is the handle parallel with the pipes…the off position is perpendicular to the pipes). There is “Jones” right beside the correct handle. Please make sure to reverse this process.... make CERTAIN they turn it off when you leave.
